How to Setup Firebase with FlutterFlow (2023)

There are a few FlutterFlow specific steps you’ll need when activating a new Firebase/Firestore project.

Go to Project Settings / Users & Permissions

Add New User as Editor:

firebase@flutterflow.io

Then click Advanced Permission Settings on the same tab (bottom right).

Look for the firebase@flutterflow.io user and click the gear icon to edit.

You’ll need to add 2 permissions here, the first one is ‘Service Account User‘, and the second is ‘Cloud Functions Admin‘.

That’s it.

*If you’re running your app for the first time and getting an error inside FlutterFlow that doesn’t make sense, make sure the Default GCP resource location under ‘Project Settings’ is set.

You MUST be using the Blaze plan (Pay as you go) with billing setup to access all the functionality required for FlutterFlow!
